You’re Never Too Much and You’re Always Enough

"You're never too much and you're always enough,"
Said a demanding mom in a moment of tenderness,
On a fictional Netflix series.

But a salve to my middle aged soul-
Much needed words that have become a mantra
That I repeat every day
When emotions are strong
Or competency feels weak.

I'm reminded how much words matter,
How thoughts formed on the lips,
Or through the pens of another,
Can elevate our own spirit,
Connect us and remind us we are not alone,
We belong, we are okay.

Words. Sentiments. Ideas Concepts.
To be shared.
To be honored.
To be cherished.

Quote from "Never Have I Ever," a Netflix series.
