Disembodied

Shrouded in fog,
Only my body visible,
My head obscured by clouds,
I stand tall and proud,
An awe-inspiring sight to those who behold me,
Mysterious, powerful, even foreboding.

But a mind disconnected from its body,
Is nothing to envy,
Nothing to hold up and admire,
Nothing to be intimidated by.

Yet society rewards
Those who separate mind and body,
Armoring up with expertise,
To avoid vulnerability,
Showing up as a human doing,
Rather than a human being.

Disconnection cries for help,
A cry to One's core,
To become whole, complete, restored,
Embodied once again.
