Affirmations

Those little sentences that pick me up, move me forward, keep me going, help me to believe in myself a bit more each day. I love them, but don't say them enough.

I've decided to concentrate on one a week...or maybe a month. I don't know yet. Here are a few I'm tossing around...

I hold myself in high esteem.
I am worthy just as I am.
I leave space for creativity to come in.
I am expanding and transforming every day.
My lifestyle promotes longevity.

Along with some of my old favorites...

I accept myself just as I am. And I also want more for myself.
I show ______ to myself first (love, grace, forgiveness, care, etc).
I am.
I am grateful for this body that carries me through life.

These can feel so clunky at first and there's just no way to get around that except to practice them. I've tried to say them while looking in the mirror and that seems to be more than I can handle! Maybe just furtive glances for now!

  1. I bought a deck of affirmations cards and I pick one daily and try to focus on it. Hopefully it becomes a habit.
