Treadmill

Her eyes look down,
As feet cover surface,
Faster and faster,
Sweat dampens forehead,
Heart beats stronger.
She's moving forward,
Moving on,
Leaving it all behind.

Her steps ease,
Heart finds its resting rhythm,
Eyes look up and around,
Conveyor belt slows to a halt.
She's right where she started,
No movement,
No distance,
Right where she started.

Is this what being stuck feels like?

  1. The treadmill of life, sometimes it conveys, sometimes it stays, but it’s to never let the heart and soul get dismayed! Blessings to you!
