The Journey Inward

Beach
weekend
getaway
with a dear friend,
who is also my 
co-mother in law, so
to speak, as her son married
my daughter this past summer.  We
walked and talked, sat and laughed, ate a bar
pie, read books, pet the dogs, and shared deeply.

Taking in the salty air, morning dew, 
crashing waves, and orange sunsets with
this sensitive, thoughtful, kind, and
caring woman was like a 
balm for my soul.  To have
a connection this
real is priceless,
and I am so
grateful.
