The Journey Inward

Walks-
Through town,
In the park,
Around a lake,
Down tree lined pathways,
Up a steep mountainside,
Along the lapping ocean,
Through a quiet cemetery,
By myself or with a friend or two,
A daily practice I've come to embrace.

A treat for my mind, body and spirit,
A chance to be alone with my thoughts,
A chance to find some clarity,
A chance to get some fresh air,
Observing surroundings,
Looking at Nature,
My legs engage,
My heart pumps,
Arms swing,
Walks.
