The Journey Inward

The best times are coming,
I know that is true,
For they're already here,
With each day anew.

I'm living life fully,
I'm happy to say,
Filled with such gratitude,
Every dang day!

It starts with my children,
My three grown up girls,
Out carving their own lives,
Improving our world.

It extends beyond that,
To family and work,
To my dear, loyal friends,
And own little quirks.

I've had my fair share,
Or possibly more,
Of pain, hurt and trauma,
That is for sure!

Endurance I have had,
And plenty of it,
It's what’s given me my
Indomitable spirit!

Each day this month, I am reading and writing about an entry from gentle reminders:  SIMPLE TRUTHS FOR A MEANINGFUL LIFE by Dodinsky.  This book was given to me after my divorce by a friend, with this inscription: "Let your soul sparkle."
