You’re In My Heart

Day two of my friends visiting found us having breakfast out on the front porch with toasts to order, as well as chocolate sourdough with cherry jam brought by my friend from Virginia. We spent the morning sitting and chatting, and the dogs were in their glory! The weather had broken and it was breezy and comfortable. Porch life is the absolute best!

Later in the day, the ladies tried on various clothes I was purging, and everyone found something! Before we knew it, it was time for our early dinner, which once again found us out on the porch after helping ourselves from a buffet spread.

From there, it was off to the Richard Marx/Rod Stewart concert at the PNC Arts Center! We were pumped and sang the whole way there, crammed in our friend's car. We found great lawn seats and spread our blankets and opened up snacks and drinks. Richard Marx as an opener was the perfect blend of exquisite voice, fun 80's songs and entertaining speaker.

Rod Stewart took our breath away! We danced and sang to every single song and at 80, Sir Rod looked and sounded fantastic! His back up singers and band were incredibly talented and the stage show was excellent!

These children of the 80's were happy indeed and enjoyed rockin' out!
