Live On

Given to my mom in June 2002,
by my sister's mother-in-law,
when my dad died,
thrived in my mom's house until...

February 2020, when we moved my mom
to an assisted living home nearby,
and the plant was just too big,
so it came to live with me...

where it continued to thrive,
and live amongst other plant friends,
and made my home cozy,
and kept memories of both my dad,
and my mom, now deceased as well,
a living memoriam until...

I am moving continents,
and the plant can't come,
so my friends who are living in my house
will care for it,
but I don't want them to be stressed,
so I've started propagating,
and giving them out to friends and family,
so that this beauty will live on,
and quite literally spread the love.

  1. Well done! But moving a continent? If I may ask, where are you going?
