National Poetry Month: Woman

Moon marked and touched the sun,
my magic is unwritten.

I have been woman
for a long time.

I want to be so complete
I could light a whole city.

Take hold on the loam,
Acquire the air.

Phenomenally,
Phenomenal woman,
That's me.

This cento is made up of lines borrowed from the following poems, in order:
"A Woman Speaks," by Audre Lorde, "Being Independent," by Rupi Kaur, "Mushrooms," by Sylvia Plath, and "Phenomenal Woman," by Maya Angelou.
