For the month of June, I am flipping through Clarity and Connection, by Yung Pueblo daily and randomly stopping at a page and reading. I am using the entry to delve into my thoughts and feelings, find what resonates, and see what answers it might hold for me. It is an exercise in building my Intuition, making space for creativity, and journeying inward so that I might know myself and others better. Today’s reading was on page 108.
"...there is... a distance between [two people]...created by their unhealed hearts. ...the unknown and unseen causes miscommunication between the two, friction and sometimes even unintentional pain. ...the shift comes when both commit to turning inward to heal and know themselves. ...this elevates the love and support they share."
If I do not love myself, I cannot love you.
If I do not know myself, I cannot know you.
If I do not accept myself, I cannot accept you.
If I do not trust myself, I cannot trust you.
If I do not show up for myself, I cannot show up for you.
If I am not honest with myself, I cannot be honest with you.
If I do not listen to myself, I cannot listen to you.
If I do not communicate with myself, I cannot communicate with you.
If I do not heal myself, I cannot heal you.
If I do not commit to myself, I cannot commit to you.
If I do not love myself, know myself, accept myself, trust myself, show up for myself, be honest with myself, listen to myself, communicate with myself, heal myself and commit to myself, I might hurt you. If you don't do your work, you might hurt me. Let's each turn inward, heal our pain, and love each other.
