Poetry in the Park

Under the pavilion at the park,
Our little group of writers sits,
Some scribbling, some tapping, some lost in thought,
While nearby, the occasional engine revs;
Shouts of delight rise up from the creek.
The sun is lower in the sky now,
Dusk before darkness.

Dusk before darkness,
The sun is lower in the sky now.
Shouts of delight rise up from the creek,
While nearby, the occasional engine revs.
Some scribbling, some tapping, some lost in thought,
Our little group of writers sits,
Under the pavilion at the park.

  1. Love this. The flow and the reversal are magical.

  2. You paint a beautiful picture and I love how it goes out and in and then reverses. Quite lovely.
