Sadness

Concern-
A friend shares a story of relational abuse.
Empathy-
I hold another dear friend in a strong embrace as she learns of her dad's passing.
Fright-
A third friend shares that she has a life threatening disease.
Shock-
My brother has an accident and is rushed to the hospital.
Seriously?-
My sister leaves the hospital, falls, and breaks her wrist and ankle.
One day-
Four lives changed in the blink of an eye.
And I am sad.
And more than a little overwhelmed.

  2. That’s a lot for one person and for one day.

    1. It sure was! And for each of those people! Luckily, not many days are like that!

  3. Life has a way sometimes of piling it all on at once. I’ve had these moments and they are almost comical in a way, the stacking and the timing of it all. As you said, luckily this doesn’t happen every day. Hope everyone is well now.

    1. So true!! It just feels good to let those feelings come, to acknowledge them, to just be, and then let them go. Some days are just like that, and others not at all! When you’re having one kind of day, you can be sure the other one is coming and vice versa!
