Repair

Hurt
Needs repair
More than apology,
For one to own
Their words and their behaviors,
Not riddle the other with excuses
Or justification for their way of seeing it,
To repair is to see the hurt and acknowledge
The damage, the carelessness, the dysfunction, and look to change .

Like the art of kintsugi, mending broken areas with gold,
Repair moves the relationship forward with compassion and trust,
Filling the spaces with a bid for connection,
Mending the heart with true remorse,
Breathing light and hope in
So that love grows
And doubt ceases.
Hearts, minds
Repair.

  1. Sometimes you have to tear it down and build it back up again.
