Intentions

I am working on the practice of setting intentions. Instead of goals that I actively work toward or aggressively pursue, these seem more like I am allowing my values to guide my thoughts and actions on a daily basis so I can live intentionally. Here are some I’m playing with.

~Be impeccable with your word
~Be present in the moment
~Breathe
~Slow down
~Slide into bed on time
~Look for the opportunity
~Do what's best for students
~Contribute something to someone today
~Be kind to yourself
~Give grace freely
~Live in love
~We are all made from love for love
~Fuel your mind, body and spirit
~Connect with your people

  1. I think intentions are magic, until recently I used to write a new one in my calendar at the start of every month and always found I grew in significant ways towards them by the month’s end. You’ve inspired me to do this again!

  2. These intentions you’re exploring are truly beautiful and profound, guiding you towards a more mindful and purposeful way of living. Another method you might consider adding to your practice is:

    ~Practice gratitude daily
Cultivating gratitude can help shift your focus towards the abundance in your life and foster a deeper sense of contentment and joy. It’s a wonderful way to appreciate the present moment and all the blessings that surround you.

    1. Thank you for your feedback and suggestion. I actually have two gratitude groups I text with daily. In each, we highlight what we are grateful for in the day, in an hour, in a moment, from big events to small observations. I love doing this in connection and reading others’ gratitude throughout my day!
