What do you fear, Little One? What troubles and worries you? Why so frightened?
It’s pain, isn’t it? The pain of lies, the pain of betrayal, the pain of misplaced love, the pain of loss, rejection, alone-ness.
I see how you try to protect yourself: hypervigilance, looking and listening closely; logic, proving theories and piecing together likelihoods; interrogation, asking the questions that will open the vault; presence, because how can anything go wrong if you’re right there?; snooping, verifying and confirming your worst fears.
It makes sense, Little One, it truly does, because you’ve had so much success uncovering and outing those things and plunging into pain.
But, My Sweet, you’ve had a lot of misses, too. You’ve had times when your assumptions were wild, when you’re “What if…” became a way to pass the time, when catastrophizing gelled into a certain reality for you. And you’ve felt pain. By your own hand, or more accurately, your own mind.
What if you rise? What if you choose to live this One Beautiful Life bathed in your own safety, integrity, love, acceptance, trust, truth, purpose and whim? What if you detach from the fear of their living and embrace the joy of your living? If others enrich and uplift, are aligned in words and actions, and share your core values, throw your arms open wide and let them in. Love them and be loved by them. Spend this season with them. Enjoy what they bring right now, because the future is always uncertain and no one can promise forever.
Sweetness, you can’t prevent heartbreak and pain, and you may need to say goodbye to those who once meant so much. But you will rise because you have everything you need within you. Your One Beautiful Life is calling to you. It is offering you creativity, light, choices, freedom, fun and purpose. Answer the call. And live your ONE BEAUTIFUL LIFE!
