Springtime

Abundance of color and lush greenery
Blossoms to my left and right as I trod
Carefully along the mud-soaked path,
Delighted by the smell of
Earth awakening.
Ferns and fronds tickle my ankles as I
Gaze up in the trees
Hanging with tight buds ready to reveal their
Innermost selves to the world,
Juxtaposing their dormant state with their wild growth.
Keeping my feet firmly beneath me, I hike this trail I
Love, feeling a Oneness, a
Mutual rebirth alongside
Nature's splendid display, a
Oneness of reclamation that
Piques the curiosity, asking
Questions like, "What do you want,
Really want? What is just for you, for
Self, and no one else?"
Tell me. I am listening. I
Understand the
Validity of your longings, the
Weight you look to shake off, to
eXamine less the "should"s of perfection and connect more to the
Yearnings that renewal promises. Rest has served us well. We want to
Zip forward, but let's stay here in this moment before we burst forth in glory.
