A New School Year

Tell us about the last thing you got excited about.

The last thing I got excited about was spending the whole day in my classroom yesterday, setting it up for the new school year. I am in a different room this year, so I inherited a lot of stuff. I enjoyed incorporating what I can envision using in my new role, and passing on what I won’t. It was exciting to set up my classroom library and imagine all of the little hands on those books. I loved creating distinct for different purposes and imagining the students’ delight at the variety of seating. It was exciting to order bulletin board paper and borders to match my comforting plant theme in the room. It was exciting to pick out inspirational posters to keep us all going and it was exciting to think about starting my 28th year of teaching, touching lives and making a difference in this world. I’m excited about all the possibility and opportunity this new school year holds.
