Interview someone — a friend, another blogger, your mother, the mailman — and write a post based on their responses.
As per the prompt, I have chosen to interview someone, and this someone is on the cusp of a birthday. Tomorrow, my puppy turns two. Here are some excerpts from our interview:
Me: How do you feel about turning two?
Spencer: A day about me? I feel great!
Me: What would you like to do?
Spencer: Eat, wrestle with my brother, snuggle, get pet, follow you, wrestle with my brother, snuggle, get pet, get a treat, wrestle with my brother, follow you, get pet, wrestle, snuggle, go for a walk, snuggle, eat, sleep with you.
Me: So a regular day?
Spencer: Why mess with success?
Me: What are you most grateful for?
Spencer: The feel of human hands across my fur (especially my belly and chest), the warmth of a snuggle beside humans and Henry, my family. Also, baby rabbits in the yard. And food-yours or mine.
Me: What advice do you have for other dogs?
Spencer: Be around friendly people and dogs as much as you can. Find comfortable places to rest. Get lots of sleep. Never miss an opportunity to play. Move around so you get different perspectives. Make generous assumptions about people. Human ears smell and taste good.
Me: What advice do you have for humans?
Spencer: Eat what you love, get plenty of rest, play every day, spend time with others, give people a chance, and love with all your being.
Me: Happy Second Birthday, Spencer! You are wise beyond your years! May we all be so content with so little. I love you, Baby Boo!
Spencer: Thank you! No charge for the ear cleaning!
