I’ve Become a Bird Lady

I've become a Bird Lady,
I didn't see it coming,
A hobby for the older set?
My love for it is stunning.

I caught it from my sister,
When visiting her home,
Outside her picture window,
Was an avian foster home!

On the trip back to my house,
An Amazon order I placed,
Bird feeders, dishes, on tall poles,
This new craze I embraced!

The birds all came, different types,
I watched them so intently,
Then downloaded the Merlin app,
To identify them correctly.

Backyard, front yard, birds abound,
I love to watch them feed,
A small fortune I do spend,
On pounds of unsprouted seed!

No matter where I travel,
I listen for the birds,
And record their joyful songs,
To log one not yet heard!

My "Life list" stands at 48,
From both sides of the Atlantic,
Perhaps my favorite of them all,
Is the Dunfermline Scot Blue Tit.

I've become a Bird Lady,
I can't believe it's true,
I love to listen to their calls,
And figure out who's who!

So Wonderful and Creative. So, are you really now a Bird Lady?

    1. It would appear so, but low key just now, not hard core yet.
