A Writer's Notebook
His stance is so regal,
His back is so straight,
When not with his brother,
His tireless playmate.
His eyes look right at me,
Bore into my soul,
He seems almost human,
As if that's his goal.
My handsome little man,
So sweet and so true,
My loyal companion,
I'll always love you!

One of mine was cut as a pup by a groomer in a rush, so the next few years were traumatic, until eventually just the sound of clippers makes him freak out… we now have to take him to the vet every 9 months where they have to fully sedate him to trim him right down to the skin while he’s unconscious… the other one is off to the hairdressers tomorrow for a mani-pedi-cut-and-blow-dry extravaganza… the things we do!! xox
