Puzzle

It’s taken my class several months, but they have finally finished this dog puzzle. They were fascinated by it, but also gave up easily and couldn’t stay with it. I helped them do the outer edge and then sorted some like pieces with them. As soon as it would get tricky again, and I stopped helping, they lost interest. A few of them would do it every spare moment they had for a few days at a time. Any time a teacher would come in and talk to me, they would throw some pieces in place.

When the parents came in, the kids were excited to show them the puzzle. Many said they hadn’t done a puzzle in so long. I shared that I would always have a puzzle out on the table at home when my girls were growing up and they loved them. Each of them as adults always has a puzzle going in their home. Such wholesome goodness, such a feeling of accomplishment, but also being able to stay with a task that takes a long time to complete. Stamina. I hope this brings puzzles into at least some of their lives.

  1. That looks like a very difficult puzzle to put together. Good job to all who made it happen.
