It has been amazing to be reunited with the pups! Of course I’m so happy to see them and pet them and love all over them, but it’s equally beautiful to see how attached they are to Gigi. The three of them have such a routine and I’ve been a bit of the disruptor! They jump beds/bedrooms between us all night long!
It is also so sweet to see Gigi with them. She is so loving and tender and she reminds me of the way she was as a child, kissing the beach before she leaves just like she did as a little girl.
We had a scare on Thursday when Henry started throwing up and then laid down and distress. We found an emergency vet clinic and he was deadweight in my arms as we rushed him out to the car. They gave him fluids, ran blood work and took x-rays. There was no indication as to what was wrong and we don’t know still. He developed diarrhea after that, and although he wag his tail and loves to be near us, he is definitely not himself. I have been making him a mixture of chicken, rice, and puréed pumpkin. Today the vet put him on an anti-diarrheal.
This has been a very special part of the trip. I have missed my boys very much, but they are in good hands!
