The Journey Inward

San Diego‘s weather truly holds up to the hype! You can pretty much depend on every day to be beautiful. Sometimes it begins or ends with cloudiness, but it doesn’t seem like there’s a single day where the sun is absent. Gigi said sometimes she misses a rainy or cold day to just stay inside. Although it can be warm in the direct sun out on a hiking trail, they’re always seems to be a breeze by the beach.

One day we went on a trail at Kate Sessions Park. I was a little worried about the rattlesnakes and the dogs, but there were no encounters.

I started running a mile down the promenade by the beach and then walking the rest. There is always something interesting to look at. Or Someone, in the case of the 80-year-old woman I met who was roller bleeding down by Mission Bay!

I plan my day around some of the Wimbledon matches I most want to see. My oldest daughter and I text through them, as well as some of my Tennis fan friends.

We’ve used Gigi’s home garage gym as well as her base to work out.

We took a trip up to La Jolla one day when Gigi finished work. I absolutely adore seeing the seals and sea lions. We also found a Coast trail and followed that for a bit.
